Field Observations

About This Project

A key component of the work done at the SUSTAIN laboratory is to conduct field experiments focused on the topics researched in our wind-wave tank facility. Observing geophysical processes enables us to relate our laboratory experiments to the real world. Most of the instruments that we use in the laboratory have also been successfully deployed in the field.

Ongoing and past projects:
  • Coastal Land Air-Sea Interaction (CLASI) DRI (Office of Naval Research)
  • Consortium for Advanced Research on Transport of Hydrocarbons in the Environment (CARTHE, Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative)
  • ITOP and CBLAST
